SUS’ primary need is for members willing and able to help the organization secure funds needed to support and sustain operations. The expectation is that members will make SUS a philanthropic priority with their own personally meaningful annual contribution and will connect us to their personal and professional networks for financial, in-kind resources, services and other partnerships. The SUS parent board meets 4 times per year. Affiliate program boards (Developmental Disabilities, Mental Health, AIDS, Home Care Services respectively) meet 3 times per year. (Members of these affiliate boards do not have to be members of the parent board.) Committee (Fund Development, Governance, Finance) meetings are scheduled as needed with each committee meeting on average 3 times per year. Each member of the parent board typically serves on one program affiliate board and on one committee.
