Harbor Communities Overcoming Violence (HarborCOV) is an innovative, nontraditional nonprofit domestic violence organization that provides culturally appropriate emergency and support services and affordable housing for low-income, multicultural survivors of abuse and their children, while educating the public about the causes and consequences of domestic violence. Director of Programs and Services The Director of Programs and Services is a new position and responsible for oversight and supervision of our high-quality emergency and supportive case management and (shelter and longer-term) housing services. Five years experience in domestic violence-related work, master’s in social work, public health or related field required, licensure preferred, bilingual Spanish/English proficiency required. Experience and a clear understanding and appreciation of: the multiple issues that intersect in the lives of survivors; the relationship between domestic violence and mental health, substance abuse and PTSD; solution-focused interviewing; and cognitive behavior approaches. .
