GENERAL SUMMARY: Reporting directly to the Director of Fund Development, this position manages the development and implementation of grant writing and related functions to support annual goals for corporate, foundation and government revenues. Responsible for prospect research, grant writing and reporting including creation and management of annual submission schedules; coordination with program, finance and development staff on funding requests, budget formulation and reports; and communication with funders on an as needed basis. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: A. Research and develop opportunities for new grant funding. B. Write and submit grant proposals, letters of intent, case statements and acknowledgement letters to institutional funders. C. Create and manage annual submission schedules and mange regular institutional giving reporting. D. Manage reporting of grant expenditures and deliverables and support reporting for existing grants. E. Ensure fulfillment of donor grant restrictions and preferences in conjunction with communications and program staff. F. Structure new requests, frame proposals for budgeting and program development, in association with program staff. G. Coordinate with initiative directors and program managers to identify and articulate specific funding needs. H. Identify, maintain and negotiate appropriate sponsorship opportunities in conjunction with Community Engagement Coordinator and Special Events Consultants; draft contracts as needed. I. Coordinate the work of additional grant writing consultants as needed.
