The YWCA Lake County was incorporated in 1922 as a residence for young women. Hundreds of local women of all faiths and socio-economic backgrounds have worked diligently for social and economic justice through its programs for the past 88 years. Today, YWCA Lake County serves 22,000 Lake County residents annually. Its core program service areas focus on women\'s economic advancement, parent and provider education and training, women and girls\' health, after school programs and youth leadership and development. Ninety percent of YWCA Lake County programs are offered in Spanish as well as English. After fifteen years of service to the YWCA, the current Executive Director is retiring at the end of 2010. The Board of Directors now seeks a new Executive Director who will lead the organization. The Executive Director will serve as the executive officer of the board of directors, and will enable the board to meet its constitutional and legal responsibilities. S/he will be responsible for the executive and administrative leadership of the YWCA Lake County. S/he will also maintain affiliation standards as a member of the Association of the YWCA of the USA. YWCA Lake County employs 50 full-time staff members and currently operates with an annual budget of $4 million.
