Tesla Motors develops cutting-edge electric vehicle and electric powertrain technology. We have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer on the Power Electronics Team. Roles and responsibilities: • Detailed design and development of packaging, thermal management, or manufacturing technology for high power motor controller or vehicle charge systems. • Collaborative work with mechanical, electrical, and thermal design engineers. • Validation of mechanical systems in dynamic and environmental conditions Essential skills and experience: • Experience with two or more of the following: injection molding, stamping, extrusions, die casting, sheet metal. • Experience with product validation, FMEA analysis, and test system architecture • Experience with automotive environmental and safety requirements • Experience with medium or high volume product design for manufacturing • Detail oriented approach to testing with solid documentation and reporting skills Qualifications: • BSME considered, MS
