Opis pracovnej pozície
ORGANIZATION DESCRIPTION: Founded in 1933, the International Rescue Committee is a leading non-sectarian non-profit organization providing emergency relief, protection, rehabilitation assistance, resettlement services and advocacy for refugees and victims of oppression or violent conflict. Our staff and volunteers provide shelter, medical and public health assistance, education, training and income-generating programs for refugees in nearly 30 countries. We also help refugees resettle in the United States. Our 22 offices across the country ensure new arrivals have food, shelter and clothing. And we work with refugees to help them gain self-sufficiency through English language classes, job training and placement services and community participation activities. Committed to human dignity and self-reliance, the IRC serves a symbol of hope and renewal for those who have taken flight in search of freedom. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The International Rescue Committee is committed to the Secretary General’s Bulletin on the Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse. Given the recent ECHA/OCHA self-assessment of our work in this area since 2003, we are undertaking a three year strategic effort to institutionalize our efforts at prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse of our beneficiaries. The adoption of a new IRC Way – a Code of Conduct will be the primary vehicle for this effort. Project management support is needed initially to archive all materials relating to the PSEA efforts of IRC.
