The International Rescue Committee serves refugees and communities affected by oppression or violent conflict worldwide. Founded in 1933, the IRC is committed to freedom, human dignity, and self-reliance. This commitment is expressed in emergency relief, protection of human rights, post conflict development, resettlement assistance, and advocacy. Scope of Work: The IRC is seeking a Recruiter to provide support in response to our growing programs globally. Primary responsibilities will include providing substantive guidance and support in the recruitment of international staff by quickly posting positions in appropriate venues, identifying the most promising candidates, interviewing and guiding hiring managers through the screening process, and on-boarding staff for assigned open positions. The Recruiter will work in close collaboration with team members from the country offices, the Technical Units, and HR. This position will report to the Human Resources Senior Recruiter. Responsibilities: • Working as a team member assisting or leading in the recruitment of staff. • Being proactive, thinking strategically, and networking early in search of stellar candidates for open positions. • Review all resumes and forward appropriate candidates to the hiring manager. Inform hiring managers of recruitment protocol and maintain regular communications throughout the recruitment process. • Negotiate salary and check references Requirements: • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline (i.e. Human Resources, International Relations). • Excellent interpersonal skills. • A minimum of 3 years experience with strong knowledge of recruitment process. • Ability to work in a fast -paced and time-sensitive environment (handle pressure). • Strong oral & written skills. • Excellent organization skills (time management). • Computer literacy (Microsoft, HRIS, and Recruitment software knowledge a plus). • Self starter. • Ability to collaborate with a variety of people (team player). • Ability to make decisions. • Flexibility.
