Responsibility 1. Govern and manage the affairs and property of the BCA in accordance with a) the mission and goals of the organization, and b) the purposes and limitations set forth in the Bylaws. 2. Conduct themselves at all times in conformity with the standards established by the BCA in the Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct. 3. Actively participate in at least one fundraising activity, a committee, attend the annual gala and fulfill your annual contribution commitments. 4. Be involved with and informed of the organizations issues, decisions, policies and board matters. Maintain confidentiality and speak as a unified Board to the members. 5. Continually seek to raise the standards of the BCA in regards to excellence, education, research, training, programs and performance. 6. Directors are the primary Ambassadors for the organization, be professional. 7. Directors shall remain members in good standing throughout their term. Commitment 1. A minimum term of two (2) years or until his or her successor has been duly elected or appointed and has qualified. Directors may serve multiple terms. 2. Required to attend a minimum 80% of board meetings, committee meetings, conference calls and special events annually. Directors are required to attend a minimum of one face-to-face meeting annually. 3. Provide meeting agenda materials ten (10) days prior to meeting; read all provided materials and have comments prepared prior to reporting at a Board meeting. Target Objectives 1. To be knowledgeable about the organization- its mission, goals, strengths and needs. 2. To be available for consultation and willing to share your expertise and experience to enhance the organization. 3. To create and continuously develop educational and mentoring opportunities for people of color. 4. To develop an organization able to expand its services and programs for the development of people of color who are considering culinary/hospitality and the foodservice industry as a career. 5. Expand resources of the organization through fundraising and sponsorship reach. The BCA Board has established a give or get minumum for each board member of $5000Požiadavky na zamestnanca
