Opis pracovnej pozície
THE POSITION AND ITS PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES The PENCIL Partnership program is driven by relationships between business people and public schools. Recruitment of business participants has been deemed a central component of PENCIL’s strategic plan, which calls for 20% annual increases in the number of schools served over the next three years. In order to achieve this goal, the recruitment team will be responsible for doubling the number of business applicants to the PENCIL Partnership program over the next year, and significantly increasing the number of applicants subsequently. In addition, the organization has called for the number of PENCIL Fellows summer internships to increase to 200, from a current level of 130. The Associate Director is a new position, created specifically to address this need. Associate Director will be responsible for developing and executing all recruitment strategies, in conjunction with the VP of Planning and Resource Development. The Associate Director will be a born networker, spending a majority of the week out of the office meeting with prospective recruits. At the same time, the Associate Director will be responsible for managing all activities of the recruitment team, including recruitment communications and events, volunteer screening, development of recruitment materials and presentations, and direct outreach by the PENCIL Fellows manager and, to a lesser extent, the Resource Development Specialist. The position will also be responsible for identifying development prospects among new recruits. From time to time, the Associate Director may be called upon to cultivate certain development prospects with whom he/she has relationships to bring them to a place where they can be solicited by development staff, the President, or Board members. Principal responsibilities include: • Identifying, cultivating and soliciting prospective program participants; managing PENCIL’s recruitment prospect list (“The Pipeline”). • Organizing and delivering presentations to prospective recruits, especially gatherings of employees at corporate offices. • Directing the recruitment efforts of the VP of Planning & Resource Development, President, and Board of Directors. • Developing partnerships with Chambers of Commerce, business improvement districts, trade and affinity groups, and other groups in order to recruit their membership. • Identifying and attending events that prospects may attend (such as Chamber of Commerce events, Crain’s breakfasts, etc.) • Developing relationships with existing business participants and donors in order to secure volunteer referrals. • Overseeing the development and execution of recruitment events, communications and materials, in conjunction with the Marketing and Communications department. • Preparing quantitative and qualitative reports and updates for department, staff and Board meetings. • Developing annual strategic plans for recruitment, in conjunction with the VP of Planning & Resource Development and the recruitment team. • Overseeing and modifying the prospect screening process, in consultation with the Programs team. • Working closely with Programs, Communications, Development and Finance & Administration staff to exchange information relevant to each other’s activities and areas of responsibility. • Managing and executing other projects and activities as directed by the VP, Planning & Resource Development.Požiadavky na zamestnanca
