The Vice President, International Field Engagement has overall responsibility for developing the framework, strategies and workplans for the International Field Engagement Department. The Vice President leads the department in its support of the work of the Regional Offices. Assures that Network Partners receive value and are thoroughly engaged in the worldwide network spread across 45 countries and territories. This will include assuring that support is provided from all parts of UWW. The Vice President is the primary relationship manager, in collaboration with the Regional Vice Presidents, interfacing with National and Local partner organizations in ways that will drive their success in building better communities & advancing the common good. Primary steward of the Global Standards of Excellence framework and building Network Partner capacity to achieve long-term goals. The Vice President will also be responsible for oversight of Membership Requirement compliance, key strategic partner relationships, international disaster response facilitation, and building & supporting worldwide talent management. The Vice President will also serve as point person in UWW leadership for International Network design efforts that are aligned to meet UWW’s goals. The position is based in Alexandria, VA & will require substantial international travel. We expect travel needs to be at least 50% of the work year for the first two years of this role. Duties of the Vice President: 1. Leads the field engagement team and is the “go to” person regarding the international network. 2. Develops and monitors strategic execution of IN plans. 3. Responsible for assuring that Network Partners receive value for their investment. 4. Supports the work of the Regional Offices by serving as the primary liaison with the Regional Vice Presidents. . 5. Responsible for assuring that Membership Requirements Compliance audits are conducted and up-to-date. 6. Champions the development & application of the Global Standards Self Assessment process throughout the IN. 7. Assures that Partnership Agreements and trademark licenses/sub-licenses are up-to-date and UWW is meeting its responsibilities accordingly. 8. Provides oversight/direction to ensure policies and procedures regarding Network Partners and Field Engagement are documented and followed. 9. Serves as staff support for the Membership Accountability Committee. 10. Plays a leadership role on the IN/IR Senior management committee 11. Accountable for budget to include management of expenses and realization of revenue. 12. Manages key worldwide external relationships, i.e. international NGO’s, United Nations, and regional development associations etc. 13. Serves as primary liaison with Global Communications Director to maximize communication with the international network, including virtual communication, webinars and web communications. 14. Provides oversight/direction for the development and implementation of training programs for international partners in collaboration with CILL. 15. Other duties as assigned.
