Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) on Cape Cod, the world’s largest private institution dedicated to ocean science, seeks a seasoned fundraising professional to serve as Senior Director of Individual Giving. This is a unique opportunity to serve as a key leader of an energetic and goal-oriented Development team. Specifically oversees Major Gifts, Annual Giving and Planned Giving efforts, representing $11-$15M/year. Also, maintains high level prospect portfolio of 75+ prospects at the $1M+ level, and works closely with a committed board and key faculty and administration members. You will lead the development of a strategic vision and process for growing individual giving efforts and the donor pool at all levels, combining your skills as a senior manager and a frontline fundraiser. If you have strong interpersonal skills and an entrepreneurial spirit, 10+ years fundraising experience including management, a strong track record in closing major gifts, and familiarity with scientific research organizations and funding of basic research.
