The Executive Director (ED) is responsible for executing on the mission, strategic goals and objectives set by the Board of Directors, including increasing revenue and community recognition of the organization. The ED reports to the Board President and represents COSI at programs and other events continually gaining first-hand knowledge of program operations, their strengths, challenges and needs. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Fundraising •Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising program to meet operational objectives, which may include, but is not limited to foundation grants, special events, major gifts and direct mail. •Oversee all fundraising planning and budgeting, execution, tracking, reporting and recognition •Train, coach and coordinate volunteers, Board members, staff and vendors on in development process •Work with Board Executive Committee to maintain an effective and consistent Board giving program •Lead the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of existing and prospective individual donors, corporate sponsors and foundations in order to sustain and increase giving levels •Implement effective donor stewardship program to build relationships and maintain and grow donor base •Attend and represent the organization at fundraising/cultivation events Operational Management •Manage and supervise day-to-day operations, professional staff and volunteers •Set key performance indicators for professional staff, manage and conduct annual performance reviews •Attend all Board meetings, committee meetings, client programs and fundraising events as appropriate – including relevant night and weekend meetings/events, and travel to extended off-site programs •Work with staff and Board to oversee development of annual operating budgets and monitor progress against revenue and expense lines throughout the year •Identify, assess and inform Board of internal and external issues affecting COSI, including staff/volunteer training and resource needs •Maintain working knowledge of significant developments and trends in pediatric oncology •Assist with Board development, including Board member prospect identification •Maintain organized and effective communications with key audiences utilizing relevant technology Outreach •Communicate to internal and external audiences both verbally and in writing •Attend/visit COSI programs, community events and internal/3rd party fundraising events •Work with marketing committee to communicate with target audiencesPožiadavky na zamestnanca
