The Campus Operations (COP) Manager ensures the support functions that our schools need in order to focus on teaching and learning. The COP is primarily responsible for coordinating purchased goods and services for teachers and staff. The COP is also an interface between school staff and Room 9 – TEAM’s shared/central services office – to coordinate services including human assets, marketing, facilities, technology, data/analysis, student enrollment, and compliance. In this way, the COP serves an individual school while also ensuring best practices across the whole TEAM network. Consequently, the COP reports directly to a Room 9 manager but is also accountable to the individual school leader. Applicants who pass the initial screening will be designated as a Elementary School, Middle School, or High School candidate based on qualifications and interests. Key responsibilities Purchased services & accounts payable (30%) • Conduct purchasing of goods and services: research, negotiate / bid purchases; communicate around staff requisitions; track delivery • Collaborate with Room 9 and other campuses to abide procurement rules while achieving cost-savings • Manage major vendors, including school uniforms, transportation, staff cell phones, etc • Monitor payables in relation to the budget • Organize documents in support of accounts payable • Manage petty cash Student information and assessment (25%) • Manage student information in the database, including course schedule maintenance • Create and distribute progress reports, report cards and transcripts • Maintain the calendar of campus activities & events • Support Room 9 in the administration of enrollment Human assets (1%) • Facilitate employment & certification documentation with school staff Technology and Facilities (5%) • Coordinate with Room 9 departments to ensure maintenance of buildings and technology • Support work-order ticket system as needed • Coordinate school security, safety drills, etc • Provide basic tech user (training to be provided) Nutrition program (10%) • Administer free and reduced-price school meal eligibility process, including evaluating applications and overseeing student fee collections • Support and manage nutrition program staff in conducting meal service; manage communications and concerns between teaching staff and nutrition program staff Compliance (4%) • Complete school-specific sections of state reports and grant/funding proposals Busing Program • Serve as the liaison between Star Shuttle, SPARK Academy, and SPARK’s families regarding busing • Map bus routes, test drive routes, and structure a feedback and reporting process for drivers and families to register feedback with the school • Handle bus incidents (suspensions, incident reports, parent complaints, etc.) to ensure safe and efficient bus service for our students School defined tasks (20%) May include tasks such as: • Develop school-based marketing and messaging materials for visitors, teacher recruits, and families Coordinate after-school program partnership with Boys and Girls Club of Newark • Collaborate with the school leader to create and maintain the school schedule (duty schedule, distribution of prep periods, etc.) • Create and distribute academic/behavior reports • Proactively monitor the school budget and assist school leader in future budget planning Other (5%) • Periodically provide off-campus support for network activities • Align scheduling for central office activities in the school • Ensure communication among school leader, office manager, Room 9 and staff • Know, improve, and teach the procedures for school support operations Direct reports: None Application process Apply online at teamschools.org.
