In the United States, it seeks to ensure that all people-especially those with the fewest resources-have access to the opportunities they need to succeed in school and life. Based in Seattle, the foundation is led by CEO Jeff Raikes and co-chair William H. Gates Sr., under the direction of Bill and Melinda Gates and Warren Buffett. The Global Health Strategy Group facilitates quality decision-making by foundation staff through appropriate framing of issues; identifying creative, doable alternatives; collecting meaningful reliable information; assessing values and trade-offs; employing logically correct reasoning; and enabling a pathway to action. The Associate Program Officer supports program-wide decisions involving a complex and diverse product development pipeline, an array of global health partnerships, and implementation projects in developing countries. The Associate Program Officer will do analytical work in support of strategy development and reviews and will work closely with other members of the Strategy Team, with other Global Health teams, and externally with grantees and others in the global health community. Responsibilities: Perform analytical work in support of strategy developmentDevelop, execute, and manage external partnerships and contracts for landscaping analyses as needed Review the global health literature and obtain data from existing public databases on health, finance, and development. Identify and engage qualified subject thought leaders, technical experts, and consultants in priority areas for meetings, technical consult, review, and other program activities Synthesize information in a way the facilitates strategic decision-making Participate in the development and use of tools to facilitate the strategy-development process and processes associated with budgeting, portfolio management, and other areas as needed Review and provide feedback on proposed strategies and presentation materials for foundation executives. Identify and help manage cross-cutting strategic projects Construct and work with financial and other types of models and use them to inform decisions § Develop thorough and clear presentation materials to illustrate strategyAssist with strategy developmentIdentify background materials, draft agendas, and identify qualified participants for Delivery coordinated meetings, as well as capture outcomes Manage background materials, meeting outcomes, and data collected and communicate through meeting minutes and other correspondence Facilitate small group meetings; identify and flesh-out out incipient concepts, manage conflicts and disagreements, and synthesize a coherent set of conclusions Develop project plans and manage projects and teams to meet agreed-upon milestonesPožiadavky na zamestnanca
