We are seeking to expand our Board of Directors. Founded by Fr Louie Vitale, The Gubbio Project provides day shelter for our homeless neighbors in San Francisco\'s Tenderloin District. We offer a safe place for our homeless neighbors to rest and spend the day, the pews of St. Boniface Church. Inspired by Francis of Assisi\'s solidarity with and love for the poor and outcast, we offer a system of outreach, compassionate support services, and advocacy. We support especially those who fall through the cracks and nets of existing social service infrastructures. We serve the people who have the greatest difficulty in accessing current resources due to mental illness, addictions, and multiple disabilities. The Gubbio Project has a board of directors of 8-12 and an Advisory Board. We meet monthly or bi-monthly. Our current objective is to solidify the future of the organization through fund development.
