Strategic Vision and Leadership • Drive the momentum of GFC’s success and maintain the organization’s reputation as an effective and creative intermediary for investments in innovative nonprofits bettering the lives of children and youth. • Develop and implement the vision and strategy for institutionalizing the operations of GFC so that it efficiently and successfully transitions from a founder-led culture. • Provide leadership, direction, and support to GFC’s grantee partners by listening to their needs, deepening relationships, and expanding investments. • Serve as the primary liaison to the board and major donors, ensuring that they are appropriately engaged and recognized. • Ensure that GFC’s strategy and vision are aligned for future growth. Program Operations • Guide and support the vice president of programs as GFC maintains and builds its programmatic capabilities, and build and cultivate relationships with grantees. Ensure that GFC continues and expands its innovative grassroots grant making program. • Ensure that internal processes, systems, and operations are aligned to deliver the highest-quality programs and services to the field. Expand and refine the innovative metrics process GFC has installed to determine the qualitative and quantitative effectiveness of grants. • Communicate program results to funders, the media, and other stakeholders. Organizational Development and Operational Efficiencies • Partner with the senior management team and the board to translate the strategies and priorities of GFC into results-oriented action plans. • In collaboration with the vice president of finance and operations, provide guidance and leadership in the development of the organization’s budgets and reporting, and maintain best practices in all aspects of financial operations. • Support and promote a results-oriented and “coaching” culture that values strong links between individual and team performance and overall organizational performance measures. Map the skills required for the future success of team members and initiatives, and identify professional-development opportunities to support these needs. Develop policies to ensure the recruitment and retention of top-tier personnel. • Maintain rigorous guidelines for measuring and evaluating the effectiveness of the work of GFC and its grantees. Development • Develop and implement a multifaceted strategy to broaden and diversify the base of GFC’s financial support and substantially increase the organization’s annual revenue. • Retain and lead a high-performing development department. • Leverage the board to attract and develop funders and ensure that funds support achievement of GFC’s mission and are allocated properly to reflect present needs and future potential. • Maintain existing relationships with key funders and establish new ones. Board Relations • Expand and engage the board of directors, ensuring that an optimal mix of knowledge, expertise, and perspective is represented. • Energize and empower the nominating committee to generate a constant flow of board candidates. • Build board and volunteer committees to develop a strong succession to existing leaders.Požiadavky na zamestnanca
