Position Overview: The Vice President of Budget and Contracts is responsible for the timely and appropriate oversight and management of budgets, establishing annual and monthly budgets for each program area with the program directors and coordinating the overall budget for the organization; reporting monthly in a timely manner on status of budgets for each month, ytd and against prior years; ensuring accuracy of billing against appropriate budget codes and for external reporting; adequately reviewing with the Finance Office, the budgets and flow of financial information crucial to project management and decision-making; effective and careful review and maximum use of available financial resources for each department and the projection of budgets and budget outcomes for individual programs and departments with the responsible program manager and/or department heads; grant reporting and compliance with regulatory reporting. The position oversees the budgets of the entire organization and assists the managers in the organization in utilizing resources in the most strategic way possible, while maintaining budgets for program areas and all adequate levels of fiscal compliance. Responsibilities: • Provides analysis and understanding of key business drivers for the budget and for variances of budget vs. actual performance and against prior years and ytd; • Provides financial planning to assist in the identification and allocation of resources required to achieve strategic budgetary goals; • Develops monitors, reviews, analyzes adjusts and communicates the budget; • Responsible for full cycle management of the budget; • Oversees grant reporting by insuring timely submissions to funders, compliance with contracts and timely reimbursements in order to secure the maximum revenue for the organization; • Provides guidance and counsel regarding Grants and Contracts management to assure legal compliance; • Acts as official signer for Seedco on appropriate reports and documents; • Acts as contact liaison for funders, auditors, governmental entities, and other non-profits for the purposes of compliance to achieve further organizational goals; • Provides guidance and counsel to Programs on funder requirements; • Develops and communicates budget systems, procedures and guidelines; • Produces reports for the Finance Committee of the Board, as well as input to the Board and Senior Management for budget presentation packages; • Shares responsibilities with other senior members of the Finance department, in the creation of fiscal policy and procedures manuals and for ongoing process improvement and review; • Assists Chief Financial Officer in research and implementation of financial opportunities to maximize financial operations of organization; and • Makes hiring decisions for Budgets and Contracts unit.Požiadavky na zamestnanca
