POSITION HIGHLIGHTS The Executive Director will lead HACE into its next phase of growth by creating a more virtual and more effective national structure to measurably increase Latinos\' access and preparedness for professional and leadership roles. HACE\'s Executive Director will implement a three-year strategic plan focused on building a multi-generational professional network of Latinos and supporting their leadership skill development and advancement. The Executive Director will manage fundraising, program development, partner cultivation, marketing/PR, and be an active member of the HACE community through consistent engagement with members and partners. IDEAL CANDIDATE • Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in business or public administration • 5-7 years of significant achievement in the private or nonprofit sector with demonstrated success executing strategic business plans, preferably in an entrepreneurial setting • Recognized leader with a passion for HACE’s vision, deep knowledge of HACE\'s target demographic and a commitment to professional development and mentoring • Proven track record of initiating, cultivating and managing relationships with key constituencies, including knowledge of corporations, foundations, government agencies, and educational institutions • Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to build, cultivate and leverage personal and professional networks and relationships • Experience in the design, development and delivery of development programs with HACE\'s target population (Latino professionals and youth) is highly desirable • Bilingual individual with deep awareness of Latino/Hispanic cultures is highly desirable KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Fundraising • Lead fundraising activities to meet annual operating expenses by cultivating corporate, individual and foundation donors; and organizing annual benefit and other initiatives • Lead business development and relationship management efforts to establish a network of support to drive program development and success Corporate and Community Partnerships • Cultivate corporate employment partners and manage partnerships for mutual benefit • Initiate and develop relationships with academic institution(s) to conduct outreach to high school and college students • Develop and maintain relationships with other constituencies, including donors, students, volunteers, academic partners, and community organizations to support HACE\'s mission • Raise HACE’s profile through marketing, social media, speaking engagements, and one-on-one networking with key stakeholders, media outlets and the general public Operations and Program Development • Develop, lead and oversee HACE\'s program activities, establishing the operational benchmarks, timelines, and resources needed to achieve consistent quality results • Recruit, lead, manage, motivate and mentor staff to achieve goals and objectives • Develop, gain board approval for and manage annual operating budget • Manage HACE\'s finances; assure monthly revenue and expense projections are met; oversee accounting process and systems; manage external accounting consultants; provide timely and accurate financial reports to board • Manage HACE\'s office and IT infrastructure; manage outside IT and other vendors Board Relations • Engage board of directors to create, monitor and manage strategic objectives and key operating goals. • Work in partnership with board executive committee to engage full board in fundraising, relationship development and other activities • Support and collaborate with board nominations chair to maintain a robust and active board roster
