Opis pracovnej pozície
Youth, I.N.C. is hiring a Managing Director to lead its $10 million Fund of Funds Campaign over a five year time frame and manage subsequent phases of fundraising as the growth trajectory of the program is determined. Responsibilities include: - Capital Raising The Managing Director will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and securing major gifts for the Fund of Funds Campaign. He/She will locate new funding sources, strengthen relationships with current and potential donors, conduct one-on-one meetings with high net worth individuals, liaise with board members, position asks and/or solicit major donors, and meet the established campaign fundraising goals. Since initiating the pilot grants in 2007, the program has allocated nearly $800,000 to 10 nonprofit partners in the form of capacity-building grants. Initial conversations with 10 of our Board members indicated that we have support in the vicinity of $2+ million. - Grant Program Oversight The Fund of Funds Program offers a unique, metrics-based “scorecard” approach to measuring the organizational strength, financial stability, and program efficacy of its grantees. The Managing Director will adhere to and advance the strategic plan for the Fund of Funds Program, including the scorecard system, grant-making process, matching of board member monitors to the grantees, and use of sophisticated metrics to measure grant and participant success. - Board Development The Managing Director will recruit and build a prominent advisory board to guide the Fund of Funds Program. The Board will represent the top thought leaders and decision-makers in academic, business, nonprofit, government, legal, and cultural sectors. The Managing Director reports directly to the Executive Director. A project manager, who oversees the day-to-day operation of the Fund of Funds grants, and a Development Associate will provide support for this position. About the Fund of Funds Program: The Need In a crowded marketplace of over 35,000 public charities in the New York City area, competition for resources makes it challenging for small-to-mid-size nonprofits to attract vital funding. - Staff often lacks formal training in fundraising and finance. - Most available funds are for programs, not for the staff or infrastructure that is crucial to support programs and expansion. - 60% of Youth, I.N.C.’s nonprofit partners do not have full-time fundraising staff, which hinders their long-term sustainability. Game-Changing Grants: Building upon the strength of its core programs, Youth, I.N.C. has developed Fund of Funds to award crucial capacity-building grants to high-performing, grassroots nonprofits within its partner network. Through Youth, I.N.C.’s progressive scorecard process, applicants are evaluated on organizational strength, financial stability, and program efficacy. Fund of Funds is designed to identify and reward “game-changing” grants to small-to-mid-size organizations that have a proven capacity to grow and leverage donor investments to help at-risk youth. This grant program is unique to the nonprofit sector in both its approach and its grant-making process.Požiadavky na zamestnanca
