The Director of Community Outreach will be one of 5 members of the Jenny\'s Light Board. This person will oversee the following committees/areas: -Support Groups -Volunteer Committee -Material Distribution -Expos/Baby Fairs Upon being named to our board, you will receive the following information from us: Jenny\'s Light Financial Update Organization Fact Sheet Your Job Description Organizational Chart Director\'s Roster Commitment Letter (For you to return) BOARD OF DIRECTORS’ EXPECTATIONS § The Board is ultimately responsible for setting Jenny’s Light’s strategic direction and effective and efficient governance of the organization. § The Board is also ultimately responsible for ensuring that Jenny’s Light operates to serve its mission and purpose. § The Board supports Jenny’s Light by making an annual financial contribution and actively engaging in fundraising. DUTY OF CARE: Board members should act in good faith with the care that an ordinarily prudent person would exercise under similar circumstances. DUTY OF LOYALTY: Board members must put the interests of Jenny’s Light above everyday personal or professional interests. DUTY OF HONESTY: Board Members must act in accordance with the organization’s stated mission and applicable by-laws. ROLE: To serve as a voting member of the board of directors for Jenny’s Light. Board members are expected to help develop policies, procedures, regulations and monitor the organizations financial performance and programs. REPORTS TO: Chairman of the Board TERM: Two years COMMITMENT: § Attend regularly scheduled board meetings (approximately 5 per year) § Actively give 10 hours minimum per month to Jenny’s Light § Actively participate in one or more committees of the board. § Attend, support and participate in special Jenny’s Light events. OBLIGATIONS: § Fully understand and support the mission of Jenny’s Light. § Make an annual personal/professional financial contribution of at least $50.00 § Supervise and evaluate the Executive Director. § Monitor Jenny’s Light’s financial performance § Develop and monitor short and long-range planning and goals. § Represent Jenny’s Light to the public and private sector; serve as an advocate. § Bring personal/professional expertise and that of others to support our mission. § You are willing to attend conferences, seminars, and workshops in order to raise the level of expertise of the entire organization.Požiadavky na zamestnanca
