Opis pracovnej pozície
BACKGROUND: The Areivim Philanthropic Group is a unique entrepreneurial consortium of major North American philanthropists who are committed to developing and supporting broad-reaching transformational projects and ideas that will significantly impact the next generation of Jews. Philanthropists join Areivim because they believe in the tremendous need to transform Jewish, Hebrew and Israel education. These philanthropists also believe in the significance of uniting in their cause of stimulating and transforming American Jewish life. They seek to challenge the American Jewish community, as well as other philanthropists, to join them in their goal of changing and securing the future of Jewish life through Jewish, Hebrew and Israel education. Since its founding in 2005 under the leadership of William Davidson, z”l, and Michael Steinhardt, Areivim has viewed the collaboration and partnership of its members as being just as important as the financial impact of the Group. Areivim aims to reach a total of 20 members and represents a spectrum of Jewish and philanthropic views and approaches. Upon joining the Group, Areivim families commit themselves to multi-year multimillion-dollar contributions to the Group’s fund, which has an initial goal of $100 million. Areivim is not a funding pool, but rather a group of philanthropists who aim to leverage their resources to impact the Jewish community by investing in a small number of new and existing ventures that substantially upgrade the quality of education; stimulate, compliment and support innovative Jewish education institutions; and/or inspire and engage the philanthropic community to renew and support Jewish education. PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Senior Development Officer is responsible for developing and managing a program for the cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of key principal gifts at and above the $1 million level. He/she will work closely with the Executive Director to significantly increase giving by developing and nurturing relationships with appropriate representatives from selected families, foundations and individuals. The Senior Development Officer will have a primary reporting relationship to the Executive Director, a dotted line day-to-day accountability to the Executive Vice President of the Steinhardt Foundation for Jewish Life, and will work closely with the funding partners, staff and consultants assigned to the Group’s programs and projects.Požiadavky na zamestnanca
