InsideNGO is seeking a finance and grants/contracts professional to work in a team of InsideNGO professionals in other practice areas to continue the growth of the organization and to contribute to its strategic direction. InsideNGO is a membership association of international relief and development organizations that provides professional development, advocacy, resource sharing and networking opportunities that focus on finance, grants and contracts, human resources, legal and IT. InsideNGO offers an extensive program of products and services to our member community such as workshops, webinars, meetings, surveys, a job board, etc. We have been supporting the NGO community for over 30 years. The ideal candidate will be able to combine his/her strong NGO experience in finance, grants and contracts with an exceptional ability to develop services that support the mission and meet the needs of the community. This talented professional must be an excellent communicator, a global strategic thinker, and have project management savvy with a spirit of entrepreneurship to grow the services of InsideNGO in the practice area. The Director of Programs – FG&C must be prepared to assume responsibility and oversight for professional development programming for the FG&C area and work with other functional/practice areas to develop new integrated programming strategies. S/he will manage the implementation of annual FG&C strategic objectives and develop new initiatives to both engage members and build a more sustainable revenue base. Some of the Essential Functions and Responsibilities are: Strategic Planning & Leadership • In conjunction with Executive Director and other practice area Directors, help lead the organization to support the professional needs of members in the wider NGO community. • Identify opportunities, develop new partnerships, implement the strategic plan, meet annual goals, and build sustainable programs and services. • Serve as staff liaison to the finance and grants/contracts Advisory Councils to identify trends and member/community needs. Member Services • Identify methods to engage finance, grants & contracts member staff, respond to member inquiries in the FG&C practice area, and communicate services to new members and organizations not currently engaged. • Develop and implement plans to engage and support InsideNGO members in field locations. • Identify potential partners and resources that will enhance the member experience. Programmatic Innovation, Management & Collaboration • Oversee the FG&C practice area by providing services that meet the needs of the community—both in the U.S. and internationally. Work with Advisory Councils, members and senior staff to identify needs and develop an annual work plan of programs, products, and services. • Through strong knowledge of the sector, serve as an innovator in building new, mission- essential programs and services; serve as a manager in directing the implementation and quality of all resources and services; and serve as a collaborator with other InsideNGO practice areas, members, and partners to support the sector. • Manage the current FG&C programs: workshops, roundtables, member community resources, and advocacy ensuring high quality, relevance and integrity of all products and services. • Work with the Director of Training Events to identify new workshop topics and international locations where workshops could be held. • Serve on InsideNGO’s senior management team and Advisory Committees to plan the content and presenters for the FG&C annual meeting, and contribute to the development of cross-cutting issue sessions. Advocacy • Develop an effective Advocacy program with USAID, Department of State, and other regulatory and funding agencies and donors to resolve issues concerning or affecting members. • Alert members to issues that will affect them and coordinate efforts to engage member involvement in advocating for change. • Develop and maintain alliances with other associations and organizations to further advocacy efforts. • Track and report on current issues, related advocacy efforts and status. • Take a lead role overseeing InsideNGO’s government relations committee; implement advocacy events that further InsideNGO’s advocacy agenda.Požiadavky na zamestnanca
