The Chief Development Officer reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer. He/she contributes to Nuru’s mission by leadership and management of all Nuru’s fundraising programs. The Chief Development Officer serves as a member of the Executive Team, which provides leadership on overall organizational strategy, management, finance, and program development. Specific Responsibilities Include • Lead and manage Nuru’s domestic development and fundraising team • Develop and execute annual and multi-year development strategies for all aspects of Nuru’s fundraising program, including short- and long-term measurable goals in order to ensure Nuru’s activities and growth are not limited by lack of funding • Oversee the development, testing and implementation of new fundraising programs to attract new donors and upgrade current donors • Ensure the appropriate involvement of key staff members from across the organization in fundraising activities • Manage program evaluations of all development operations toward program goals • Represent Nuru in public during speaking engagements, conferences, interviews • Manage professional development, career tracking, and performance reviews of team leaders of all teams under his/her leadership • Work closely with other members of the Executive Team to make high level strategic decisions for the organization
