As a member of executive team, the Chief Program Officer (CPO) will report directly to the Executive Director. The CPO is a critical organizational leader and will work closely with the Chief Financial and Administrative Officer, the Chief Development Officer and the Director of Research and Evaluation. The CPO will also have significant interaction with the Board of Directors through meeting attendance and committee participation. The Chief Program Officer oversees all program staff and is responsible for the successful development and implementation of Groundwork’s continuum of integrated services. The CPOP’s direct reports include the Managing Directors, who each oversee specific program components. Groundwork is a rapidly growing, dynamic, and entrepreneurial nonprofit environment and the CPO will be responsible for providing ongoing leadership, vision and support for multiple program staff as they strive to meet demanding job responsibilities and performance measures. The CPO will properly allocate resources and negotiate between the interests of multiple constituents including staff, children, parents, schools, funders, and community institutions, while maintaining a mission driven approach to programming. The CPO will also be asked to design and develop creative programming ideas that address the needs of the community and achieve the stated goals of the organization, as well as lead continuous program improvement as we strive to provide the highest quality services to our clients. The CPO will also support long and short-term strategic planning and evaluation and assessment efforts. The CPO role at Groundwork is a unique opportunity for a dynamic, passionate, experienced, and entrepreneurial youth development professional with a proven track record in meeting high expectations to make a significant impact on an extremely deserving community. Position Responsibilities Program Strategy and Leadership • Work in concert with managing directors and other senior staff to lead all day-to-day program planning, implementation, and management to ensure the delivery of structured, high-quality services that meet the needs of youth from cradle through college and their family members within Groundwork’s target communities. • Constantly assess program quality through qualitative and quantitative means and develop and implement strategies to constantly improve program effectiveness. • Oversee the ongoing development of procedures and documentation to ensure the consistency, scalability, and sustainability of all programs and to enable the potential replication of the program model according to the strategic plans of the organization. • Monitor program compliance with all applicable federal and local governmental regulations and other funder guidelines. • Contribute to the budget development process by planning and projecting the staffing and resource needs of all programs and manage the annual program budget through ongoing review of expense variances. • Stay current with leading youth development, education and family service practices and ensure that Groundwork is implementing best-in-class programs and performance measurement strategies. Staff Management and Development • Develop appropriate job specifications for program management and recruit and select exceptional program leadership. • Manage staff performance through an annual performance review process and provide professional leadership, coaching and support throughout the year. • Coordinate multiple options for high-quality training opportunities that meet the specific needs of senior program staff and encourage the independent pursuit of professional development from all staff. Relationship Development and Management • With support from the Executive Director and the Board of Directors, establish mutually beneficial relationships with community organizations, corporate entities, content partners, institutions of higher education, and other members of the New York nonprofit community to make meaningful contributions to each other’s missions. • Represent Groundwork and its programs to diverse constituents including but not limited to presentations to community organizations for program outreach, funding sources for financial support, school leadership for resources and facilities, and other organizations personnel recruitment and professional development. • Support development activities by contributing strategic vision, program-related budgeting, and general organizational leadership and relationship building with external supporters. Other Organizational Development and Support • Lead and contribute to projects and activities that support the Board of Directors and Executive Director in the overall achievement of the mission of Groundwork. • Lead organizational improvement and development efforts including but not limited to periodic strategic planning processes, staff development retreats, and other organizational development activities.Požiadavky na zamestnanca
