Summary We are seeking a Managing Director, Recruitment who will be responsible for Teach For All’s organizational recruitment strategy as well as overseeing candidate sourcing, hiring team engagement, and applicant tracking. The Managing Director will manage both proactive and reactive recruitment, conduct informational and first-round interviews, and identify opportunities to streamline the recruitment process and improve hiring time-lines. This is a great opportunity for an exceptional leader who is a great strategic thinker, is detail-oriented and organized, and possesses excellent communication skills. This person will report to the VP, Human Assets. Team Overview Human Assets enables Teach For All to fulfill its potential to accelerate the impact of partner organizations through the formation of best-in-class people strategies designed to attract, engage, retain, and develop top-performing, diverse staff members. Human Assets’ guiding principles: • We aim to engage staff to operate at their highest levels enabling their critical contributions to organizational success. • We aim to grow a leadership pipeline of talent within the Teach For All network. • We aim to enable managers to have shared accountability for the success of all human assets priorities. • We aim to operate in a nimble way and regularly reflect, anticipate, and amend people strategies and practices as needed. • We aim to embody the Teach For All Core Values of results focus, entrepreneurship, respect and humility, collective impact, and integrity and a commitment to Teach For All’s mission in all actions. Responsibilities Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: • Manage all aspects of recruitment including strategy, candidate sourcing, hiring team engagement, and applicant tracking • Develop deep relationships with Teach For All’s partner organizations to identify potential staff from partner organizations’ participants, alumni, and staff members • Identify opportunities for Teach For All to increase recruitment capability globally both within our partner organizations and their networks as well as with external candidates • Develop strategy for external recruitment including the improvement of Teach For All’s campus recruitment strategy, now focused within the U.S. and the U.K. • Build and maintain relationships with potential candidates globally • Engage Teach For All senior leaders and staff in all aspects of recruitment to increase Human Assets’ and hiring teams’ mutual ownership of recruitment process and outcomes • Evaluate and identify most effective allocation of recruitment responsibilities to the human assets and hiring teams • Make recommendations to improve interview guides and interview exercises; coach hiring managers during the hiring process if needed • Conduct informational and first-round interviews when needed • Evaluate the effectiveness of individual recruitment strategies and identify opportunities to streamline recruitment processes and time-to-fill metrics, utilizing data to make the best decisions • Set, define, and meet ambitious yet realistic recruitment goals that are aligned with larger organizational objectives • Manage the Associate, Recruitment currently on Teach For All staff
