Sr. Principal Engineer, Advanced Engineering Haemonetics Key Characteristics: Responsible to lead in the development, integration, test and implementation to manufacturing, of high-reliability, cost effective, disposable products, separation chambers and electro mechanical devices which can be used by Haemonetics customers world-wide. This senior leadership role maintains a global focus to ensure the design of manufacturing processes and product are optimized for quality, reliability, Design For Manufacturing and low cost. Key Responsibilities: Provide customers with high quality, reliable and cost effective products. Responsible for the development of measurement systems for monitoring key aspects of the technology transfer process. Act as project manager for the introduction and/or integration of new disposables and equipment products into the Manufacturing organization. This includes such activity as, identification of key project team members from stages of research and development through Manufacturing implementation, assignment and clarification of team member responsibilities, project tracking and communication. Develop product manufacturing methods and equipment that provide products that meet customer needs and can be produced in high volume at low cost by Haemonetics manufacturing sources world-wide Manage projects in compliance with Haemonetics SOPs by employing techniques such as project plans, product specifications, phase and design reviews, required documentation, test protocols and test reports. Ensure projects are completed on time, and within budget. Provide regular updates and project summaries to Haemonetics management. Ensure team members assigned to project teams are meeting team objectives to the satisfaction of the project manager. Develop new techniques and materials for producing lower cost, high quality disposables products and separation chambers Constantly research for new materials, processing, testing and design techniques, which can be utilized to improve disposables quality, cost and manufacturability. Provide technical assistance for the business unit. Provides technical leadership and consulting services to worldwide plasma disposables manufacturing operations. Drive and lead global technical forums and other initiatives to improve Haemonetics global plasma competitiveness. Manages activities and staff responsible for Manufacturing Engineering and technical support. Responsible for the identification and support of significant automation projects for cost savings. Responsible for supporting product engineering / modification/ development, and defect analysis and corrective action. Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in engineering required including mechanical, plastics, industrial or other engineering discipline required. Advanced degree preferred. Six Sigma, Black Belt certification required. 8-15 years experience managing cross-functional projects in regulated environments. Project management certification preferred.
