The Research & Data Analysis (RDA) Intern position is housed within the Research and Strategic Initiatives Group. The RDA intern will work primarily with data collected using FINCA’s Client Assessment Tool (FCAT) to analyze: poverty levels, housing materials, water, sanitation, health, education, assets, demographics, etc. In addition, the RDA intern will have the opportunity to support special research projects as assigned. Coursework in: Microfinance, Sustainable Economic Development, Econometrics, Statistics, Quantitative Research Methods, and Project Management provide solid background for this position. The RDA Intern will take an active role in the following initiatives: - Conduct descriptive and regression analysis of FCAT data; - Validate client assessment data; - Provide logistical and technical support for on-going data collection, including sampling, collection, and cleaning; - Update FINCA’s client assessment research training materials; - Plan and coordinate research activities as needed.
